A Dream baked with love

Our Story

The Founder

A Passion for Perfection

Hi, I’m Niharika. I’m 25, a pastry chef, and Kaarnisu is my childhood dream.

But the truth is — it was never just mine.

While I was learning how to bake, my dad was learning how to build a café. While I was experimenting with frostings and textures, he was studying layouts, lighting, and logistics.

While I doubted myself, he never did.

I baked my first cake when I was thirteen. He tasted it, smiled, and said, “Let’s make this real.”

And that’s how this began.

"We don't just bake. We compose edible art, one layer at a time."

Niharika's Father

The Inspirer

A Father’s Belief

When my dad retired, people expected him to slow down. Instead, he said something I will never forget:

“Life should keep moving — morning or evening. If we stop moving, it isn’t rest. It’s stagnation.”

He didn’t see retirement as an ending. He saw it as the right time to begin something meaningful with his daughters. Today, when we stand outside our café, almost complete, it feels surreal. This space is not just walls and furniture — it’s years of belief, effort, and quiet encouragement.

His vision is simple:

To build this brand with integrity.
To grow it thoughtfully.
To let it reach more people.

And one day, to see it become something far bigger than we imagined.

How it started

Why We Chose 'Kaarnisu'?

I didn’t want a name that sounded like every other dessert café. I wanted something personal.

‘Kaarnisu’ is made from the initials of the people I love most — my family. It started as a scribble in my diary. Soft. Slightly dreamy. Different.

Kaarnisu isn’t just a brand name.

It’s family — rearranged into something beautiful.

Our belief

What We Stand For

Kaarnisu stands for craft over shortcuts, warmth over trends, meaning over noise, and family over formality.

We believe in baking with intention — taking the time a recipe truly needs, never rushing what deserves care.
We believe a café should feel like comfort, not a performance.
We believe in creating things that are honest, thoughtful, and made to matter.

Desserts should feel personal.
Spaces should feel safe.
And it’s never too early — or too late — to begin something meaningful.

Why it matters

If You’re Scared to Begin…

If you’ve ever hesitated to chase your dream because of age, timing, or fear — I hope this story gives you courage.

Because if a 25-year-old with a whisk and a father who refused to slow down can build this…

Maybe you can begin too.
